Responsible Gambling
Gambling can cause harm. Support is available, and choosing not to gamble is always an option.
Gambling carries risk
Casino games are designed as paid entertainment and can result in losing money. There is no reliable way to predict or guarantee a result. Do not gamble with money set aside for essentials, borrow to gamble, or treat gambling as a way to earn income.
Set limits before you begin
If you choose to gamble, decide in advance how much money and time you can afford to spend. Keep those limits separate from essential expenses, take breaks, and stop when your limit is reached. Avoid gambling when distressed or affected by alcohol or other drugs.
Notice changes in behaviour
Warning signs can include spending more time or money than intended, chasing losses, hiding gambling, borrowing, or feeling unable to stop. These experiences can affect the person gambling as well as family and friends. You do not need to wait for a crisis to ask for help.

The Star Gold Coast has venue processes relating to exclusion and responsible gambling. For current options and how to apply, speak with the operator through its official responsible gambling information. Government rules and processes can change, so verify details before acting.
